The Olympus XA1 is a 35mm camera and part of the Olympus XA-series, designed by Yoshihisa Maitani and introduced in 1982 with the classic clamshell design.

In the XA-series, the XA1 is the most simple version. It has a selenium meter, which means that it doesnt need batteries to work! (only the flash needs batteries).
There are two film speeds of 100 and 400 ASA via a switch on the base of the camera.
If the camera detects underexposure, a red flag will show in the viewfinder.

Just like the XA2, XA3 and XA4 it is well suited for street photography with its quick handling.

This specific camera is in very good cosmetic condition. It has been inspected, cleaned and tested with film and works flawlessly.
